Fascial Fine Tuning

1/9/2016

A Focused Approach with Gentle Specificity
Fascia is the tissue that surrounds most structures in the body, including the muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, and internal organs. All of the fascia is interconnected like a web throughout the body, so even small restrictions can have a widespread effect.  Restrictions in the fascia can be caused by injury, overuse, postural imbalance, etc. - and for most of us, as time goes by, these events start to add up.

Facial fine tuning aims to untangle this built up fascial stiffness by addressing restrictions precisely and specifically, one at a time, as the body shows us the most important locations. Releasing specific points helps ease the surrounding area and the entire interconnected system. The work is informed by training in Neural and Visceral Manipulation, CranioSacral Therapy, and Connective Tissue Therapy, among others.

We made it! October is here and we made it through another summer. We are tough like that! Andy and I celebrated, as we like to do, with a trip up to Flagstaff to visit the aspens! We picked the absolutely perfect weekend for it, as you can see!

Hope everyone is enjoying the cool down!

There are no problems, only
opportunities.
  -  Mother Theresa  (Remembering this has truly changed my attitude on multiple occasions. Always seems to be true, though we so often don't realize it at the time.)

Your spirit is your  true shield. - Morihei Ueshiba, founder of aikido (I have a little book called "The Art of Peace" and I sometimes start my day by randomly opening to a page. It is amazing how often this is the page that pops up!)

If you want to change the world, start with yourself. - Lots of people have said this, I think. It most certainly helps for me when the big problems of the world seem overwhelming.
